休息日を終え、ふたたび歩きはじめました。休息をとった街に着く数日前から、古傷のある足首がいよいよ痛くなってきました。やっぱり休むってすばらしい。痛みも軽くなり、後半の道をスタートすることができました。この日はくもりで寒かったけれど、楽しい距離を歩いて、かわいらしい町に着きました。そして、いつもお世話になっているオーストラリアの夫妻とも同じ宿で会うことができました。ちょうどこの頃、Semana Santaという、この国のキリスト教の大切な行事が行われる週に入っていました。この週から翌週の復活祭と合わせて、この国のバケーションシーズンに入ります。着く町々で行われる行事も目にしました。オーストラリアのふたりが、この町の教会の行事に誘ってくれました。どう見てもキリスト教ではないだろうわたしにも町のひとはやさしく、みんなが手にしている葉のついた枝を持たせてくれました。いつもその町まで歩いて、町の店で食べ物を買って、その町の宿で寝て、朝になったらその町を出る。だから、こうやってきちんと町のひとに接して皆さんが大切にしているものを知らないと、ただその町を通過しただけになってしまうなと感じた日でした。きっと仲がいいのだろう町の女性たちがおなじスカーフを身に着けて歩いていました。かわいかったなあ。同じ宿になったみんなといっしょに食べたご飯もとてもおいしかった。いろんなperegrinoと再会したり知り合ったりすることができた、とてもいい後半初日でした。と、いい気になっているとこのあと、国民皆さん休暇期間の町々で、なかなかな体験もすることになるのです。

Después del día de descanso, volví a caminar. Unos días antes de llegar a la ciudad donde había descansado, mi tobillo, que tenía un problema, empezó a dolerme cada vez más. Qué genial descansar. El dolor remitió y pude empezar la segunda mitad de El Camino. Estaba nublado y hacía frío ese día, pero caminé una distancia agradable y llegué a un pueblo precioso. También pude reencontrar a la pareja australiana que siempre me atiende en el mismo albergue. Fue justo por estas fechas que se celebraba la Semana Santa, una importante celebración cristiana en este país. Esta semana, junto con la Pascua la semana siguiente, empecé la fecha de vacaciones de los españoles. También vi los eventos que se celebraban en los pueblos a los que llegué. La pareja de Australia me llevó a un evento en la iglesia de este pueblo. Aunque obviamente no soy cristiano, la gente amable del pueblo me dió una rama con hojas que todos los tenían. Siempre camino al pueblo, compro comida en sus tiendas, duermo en el albergue y me voy por la mañana. Así que ese día sentí que si no me comunicaba con la gente del pueblo y conocía sus importantes, solo estaría de paso. Las mujeres del pueblo, que debían ser buenas amigas, llevaban el mismo pañuelo. Eran preciosas. Fui al restaurante con todos nos alojábamos en el mismo albergue y la comida fue muy deliciosa. Fue un gran primer día de la segunda mitad, donde pude conocer y reencontrar a muchos peregrinos. Sin embargo,después de ese día,tendría las experiencias de las vacaciones de este país.

After the day-off, I started walking again. A few days before reaching the town where I had rested, my ankle, which had a problem with it, started hurting more and more. How wonderful to rest. The pain reduced, and I was able to begin the second half of El Camino. It was cloudy and cold that day, but I walked a pleasant distance and arrived at a beautiful village. I was also able to meet again with the Australian couple who always look after me at the same albergue. It was right around this time that Holy Week was being celebrated, an important Christian celebration in this country. This week, along with Easter the following week, started the Spanish holiday season. I also saw the events being held in the towns I visited. The Australian couple took me to an event at the church in this town. Although I'm obviously not Christian, the kind townspeople gave me a branch with leaves that everyone had. I always walk to the town, buy food at their shops, sleep at the albergue, and leave in the morning. So that day I felt that if I didn't communicate with the townspeople and learn about their important things, I'd just be passing through. The women in the town, who must have been good friends, all wore the same headscarf. That scene was so good. I went to the restaurant with everyone else; we were staying at the same albergue, and the food was delicious. It was a great first day of the second half, where I was able to meet and reconnect with many peregrinos. However, after that day, I would have the experiences of a vacation in this country.
