この日の道を歩けばのこり100kmを切る。そんな日、前日から雨がつづいていました。おなじalbergueに泊まっていた多くのperegrinosは、雨の中、暗い早朝から出発していきました。この一日で40km近くを歩いて、早くゴールするためです。そんな気がまったくないわたしは、albergueを出なくてはいけない時間ギリギリくらいにやっと出発しました。わたしは、朝早く発った彼らとはちがう道を歩いて、森のなかにある美しい修道院を見ることができました。雨に濡れた緑がとても美しい道でした。とちゅうでぐうぜん見つけたカフェで楽しく話したポルトガルから来たperegrinosと、この日の宿でいっしょになることができたり。エストニアのperegrinaとまた宿で再会できたり。距離を長く歩くのではなく、一歩を味わって歩くことが楽しいと思うことができました。かわいい宿では、この国に住む家族のperegrinosも加わり、みんなで食卓を囲みました。終わりを覚悟しなくては、とシリアスな気持ちになっていたわたしに届いたごほうびのような日でした。

Si hubiera caminado ese día, me quedarían menos de 100 km. Había estado lloviendo desde el día anterior. Muchos de los peregrinos que se alojaban en el mismo albergue habían salido temprano bajo la lluvia. Ellos me dijieron que fueron a caminar casi 40 km en un día, con la esperanza de llegar pronto a su meta. Yo no tenía ganas de hacerlo, así que finalmente me fui justo antes de la hora de salida del albergue. Tomé una ruta diferente a la del grupo de madrugada y pude ver un hermoso monasterio enclavado en el bosque. La vegetación empapada por la lluvia realmente resaltaba, convirtiéndolo en un sendero verdaderamente hermoso. También me encontré con una pareja de peregrinos de Portugal, con quien había tenido una agradable conversación en una cafetería, en la misma casa rural de este día. También me reencontré con la peregrina estonia en el alojamiento. Me di cuenta de que, aunque no camino largas distancias, se trata más de saborear cada paso. En nuestro encantador alojamiento, nos acompañaron peregrinos de una familia que vive en el país, y todos nos reunimos alrededor de la mesa para la cena. Fue como un regalo para mí, que me tomaba muy en serio la tarea de prepararme para el final.

If I had walked that day, I would have less than 100 km left. It had been raining since the day before. Many of the pilgrims staying at the same albergue had left early in the rain. They told me they were going to walk almost 40 km in one day, hoping to reach their goal soon. I didn't plan it, so I finally left just before the hostel checkout time. I took a different route than the early morning group and was able to see a beautiful monastery nestled in the forest. The rain-soaked vegetation really stood out, making it a truly beautiful trail. I also met a peregrino couple from Portugal, with whom I had a pleasant conversation in a café, at the same hostel that day. I also reconnected with the Estonian peregrina at the accommodation. I realized that, although I don't walk long distances, it's more about savoring each step. At our lovely accommodation, we were joined by peregrinos of family living in the country, and we all gathered around the table for dinner. It was like a gift to me that I was so delicate for the end of El camino.
