やっぱりいちばん

前回の旅で通った学校にふたたび通っています。今回も、苦手だけれど課外活動に少しづつ参加しています。この日、参加したのは、料理教室です。幅広い野菜や果物を生産し、それらを使ったこの国の料理は、国際的に有名です。多くの料理人もこの国を訪ねています。コミュニケーションが苦手なだけでなく料理も苦手なのに参加したのは、とても料理がうまいこの街の郊外に住む友だちがいつもふるまってくれるとてもおいしい料理の大変さを知っておくべきだと思ったからです。イギリスからきたふたりといっしょにチームを組み、2つの料理を作りました。EntradaはCausaという、ポテトでツナや野菜などを混ぜた具をはさんで重ねた料理です。料理が苦手なので、調味などはほかのメンバーにまかせて、ひたすらポテトをこねました。このpapa amarilloという種類のポテトがとてもうまい。Segundoは、Seco de polloという鶏肉の煮込み料理です。むずかしいsalsaは先生が用意してくれていたので安心でした。このsalsaが、とてもうまい。結論、むずかしいことはチームメンバーに任せて正解。そして、わたしにとっては、やっぱり友だちの料理がこの国でいちばんおいしい。そう友だちの家族に話すと「彼女の料理には愛がたくさん入っているからね」と声をそろえて自慢された。最高すぎる。

He vuelto a la escuela a la que asistí en mi último viaje. Otra vez, poco a poco, estoy participando en las actividades, aunque a mí me cuesta las comunicaciones. Ese día, participé en una clase de cocina. Este país produce una gran variedad de verduras y frutas, y la gastronomía que las utiliza tiene fama internacional. A pesar de mi poca comunicación y mi debilidad de cocinar, decidí participar porque pensé que quería conocer sobre las dificultades que mi amiga que vive cerca de aquí siempre nos sirve la deliciosa comida. Me uní a dos compañeras de Inglaterra y preparamos dos platos. La entrada era El Causa, un plato de papas en capas relleno de una mezcla de atún y verduras. Como no se me da muy bien cocinar, me encargué de amasar las papas. Esta variedad de papa, llamada la papa amarilla, es deliciosa. El segundo era El Seco de pollo, un guiso de pollo. La profesora preparó la salsa, que era difícil de preparar. Esta salsa está deliciosa. En conclusión, hice bien en dejar las partes difíciles a mi equipo. Y para mí, la comida de mi amiga es la mejor del país. Cuando se lo conté a su familia, todos me alardearon juntos: «Es porque su comida con mucho amor». Es muy maravilloso.

I've returned to the school I attended on my last trip. Once again, little by little, I'm participating in activities, although I’m not good at communication. That day, I assisted in a cooking class. This country produces a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, and the cuisine that uses them is internationally renowned. Despite my poor communication skills and my weakness for cooking, I decided to participate because I wanted to know about the difficulties that my friend who lives nearby always serves us very delicious plate. I joined two classmates from England, and we prepared two dishes. The starter was El Causa, a layered potato dish filled with a mixture of tuna and vegetables. Since I'm not very good at cooking, I was in charge of mixing the potatoes. This kind of potato, called the papa amarilla, is so delicious. The second course was El Seco de Pollo, a chicken stew. The teacher prepared the sauce, which was difficult to make. This sauce is delicious. In short, I was right to leave the difficult parts to my team. And for me, my friend's plate is the best in the country. When I told his family about it, they all bragged to me: "It's because her plate is made with so much love." It's so wonderful.
