しあわせなにおいと　友だちの道

この街ですごす最後の週末。この街で働く友だちとその恋人が、彼らの仕事場に連れて行ってくれました。馬に会わせてくれるためです。わたしは、馬を見ることが大好きです。長い道を歩いたときも、ひろいところでノビノビしている馬をたくさん見ることができて、うれしいことの貯金をした気持ちになりました。そんなことをもちろん知らない彼らが、ぐうぜん馬を診る獣医で「いっしょに馬を見に行こう」と言ってくれたときのうれしさは、もう。その日、連れて行ってくれたのは、約200頭の馬と彼らが働く公的な施設でした。すべてが初めてのことで、のぼせあがりながら馬を見て回りました。完全に浮かれていました。「馬はいいにおいがするよ」と馬の首のにおいをかがせてくれました。表現できない、いいにおい。ああ、しあわせ。その施設で働く友だちの恋人が、もう使い古して廃棄する蹄鉄を記念にくれました。おまもりの仲間に加えました。友だちは、正確に言うと友だちの娘さんです。歩きながら、いつから、なぜ獣医をめざしたのかを聞きました。動物を助ける仕事をしたいと考えた子どものころから、ずっと獣医になることを目指して勉強して、そしていまその仕事をしていてしあわせだと教えてくれました。”Siempre ese es mi camino.”（「ずっとそれがわたしの道」）と話してくれたときの、友だちの笑顔と言葉にふるえました。そしてこの娘さんを育てた友だちを思って、空を見上げました。

Era mi último fin de semana en esta ciudad. Una amiga y su pololo que trabaja en el mundo me llevaron a sus trabajos para ver los caballos. Me encanta observarlos. Incluso en El Camino que caminé, pude ver muchísimos caballos deambulando por los espacios abiertos, y sentí que estaba guardando momentos felices. Casualidad ellos que son veterinarios me invitaron a ver los caballos.Ese día, me llevaron a una instalación pública donde trabajan con unos 200 caballos. Todo era nueva experiencia para mí, y estaba llena de alegría. "Qué bien huelen los caballos",me enseñaron y dejándome oler el cuello del caballo. Era un olor indescriptible. ¡Qué alegría! El pololo de mi amiga, que trabaja en la instalación, me regaló una herradura que estaba a punto de tirar como recuerdo. La añadí a mi colección de amuletos de la suerte. De expresar correctamente,la chica es hija de mi amiga Mientras caminábamos, le pregunté cuándo y por qué decidió ser veterinaria. Me contó que desde niña había querido trabajar en algo que ayudará a los animales, que siempre había estudiado para ser veterinaria y que ahora está feliz de trabajar en ese mundo. Me conmovió su sonrisa y sus palabras cuando me dijo: «Siempre ese es mi camino». Miré al cielo, pensando en la amiga que había criado a esta chica,su hija.

It was my last weekend in this city. A friend and her boyfriend took me to their jobs to see the horses. I love watching them. Even on El Camino I walked, I could see so many horses wandering around the open spaces, and I felt like I was saving happy moments.By chance, they are veterinarians who invited me to see the horses. That day, they took me to a public facility where they work with about 200 horses. It was all a new experience for me, and I was filled with happiness. "Horses smell so good," they showed me, letting me smell the horse's neck. It was an indescribable scent. What joy! My friend's boyfriend, who works at the facility, gave me a horseshoe that it was about to throw away as a souvenir. I added it to my collection of lucky charms. Correct, the girl is my friend's daughter. As we walked, I asked her when and why she decided to become a veterinarian. She told me that since she was a child, she'd wanted to work in something that would help animals, that she had always studied to be a veterinarian, and that now she's happy to work in that field. I was moved by her smile and her words when she said, "That's always my way." I looked up at the sky, thinking of the friend who had raised this girl, her daughter.
